T1 Straight Grade Heavy Duty Engine Oil: 10w. 30w. 40w. 50w. Any one of the above except the T1 would be fine for your car, with the proper climate of course. They all meet the current "CJ-4" rating, except for the T1 There is no "law" somewhere that states because you have a turbo you need to run a synthetic oil..
My bro in law is after an A4/Passat etc and wants to go see a 115bhp A4. I seem to recall someone telling me the 110/115 engines werent great, and the 100/130s were the pick. Any thoughts? Cheers.
I had the same problem. When I got my car running properly again my boost was in around 10 -15 psi fairly consistently. I drive a 2001 Jetta, in my shop manual the stated boost pressure is 1700 to 2200 mbar under load. The book has a n
Motor oil IS important and necessary to get right. Your TDI requires a 5W-40 synthetic oil. Shell Rotella T6 is one of the best 5W-40 oils you can use and is readily available at Walmart*. With proper maintenance, the engine can easily outlast the car it's in. 200k miles is nothing for a TDI engine. Good luck and Welcome to TDIclub. The new 9-3X came with two engine choices: the 1.9 L diesel (producing 180 bhp) and the 2.0 L petrol engine (producing the 210 bhp). Only the 2.0 L petrol engine is equipped with the XWD while the diesel version is available only with front-wheel-drive. 2010. For 2010, the Saab 9-3 Aero's turbocharged V6 was eliminated.
I am currently looking at getting a Seat Altea 1.9 TDi and have noticed that four different 1.9 TDi engines have been fitted depending on the year. Using the correct and good quality oils is
The only option I see for a turbo 'upgrade' is the K03/04 hybrid, and I have heard it's not all that much of an upgrade. The VNT will require an exhaust modification as well as a chip tune and a MAP sensor. The GT2052 will require all of the above and a manifold adapter and modified rear motor mount. It was also the first Japanese manufacturer of a diesel engine with a block made entirely of aluminum. The engine has common rail injection, variable geometry turbocharger, intercooler and EGR valve. The engine had a power of 75 hp and 170 Nm of torque - not much, but adequate for a city car. Shortcomings in the dynamics are certainly ATD PD engine closeup pics: EDIT: Another difference between the two engines is the BEW has the 3 coolant glowplugs while the ATD engine does not. These are located on the same piece where the coolant temp sensor is located. mrchill swapped these parts on the engines and you can see the difference on each engine.

Just make sure you're using the proper motor oil (505.00), drive the engine a little spirited a few times a month, and have a good mechanic that knows the TDI better than yourself. You can really get a good education from this forum. I read the TDIFAQ and bought and studied the Bentley manual before I got my TDI.
Overview – The 1.9 TDI engine can say a lot of good things: creative, highly durable, dynamic and increase the car’s sales value. However, one should not assume that every car is based on it, diesel is a good investment. There are many cars on the secondary market when the 1.9 TDI engine is difficult to exploit and requires a large investment.
The tdi obviously available in the us and is a pain to wire but a better choice in retrospect. If you can find a good 1.6 turbo go for it. There usually about 1/5 the price of a 1.9l I drove jeffs (the owner of acme adapters) rig with the 1.6 and it did every bit as good as my AAZ. And yea I get it about the hemi crack.
Golf VI TDI, 77 kW (CAYC) Feb 7, 2011. #4. Yes, injector seals is a must. At least, this is what my mechanic says. If you swap the heads then you need to re-do the timing belt job (I think this is pretty understandable). Also, you will need a new head gasket, those one-time-use bolts for the head, engine mounts and so on. Block the egr, remove the cat and map and youre already good for 150hp, and thats just very basic mods. These engines are VERY tunable. The wiring is reasonably simple, although the wiring for most of these kinds of engines is pretty similar. The v6 is not much more complicated. The v6 tdi is unfortunately not in the same league. b34u.
