I have an issue with my intake hose collapsing flat when revving. It is creating quite a vacuum. I have been told the turbo is U/S but I struggle to believe that a seized turbo could block the air intake. As mentioned i have a 1.9 TDI (105bhp) BKC engine Mk5 Golf, it feels underpowered, as ive driven several of these mk5 1.9 tdi's and i know what sort of power it has. Though the turbo does kick in, it doesnt feel quiet enough. When the car is driven to around 60-70mph, it normally goes into limp mode. Sometimes it can happen before reaching 60

4.2k. Posted June 3, 2013. We had the same issue in our Bora TDi 1.9 115bhp model. Ours started with a very small loss of coolant when travelling on the Mways over a long distance. Would loose about a 1/4 of the coolant bottle. Locally it would not loose any so suggested it was while the car was at high revs for prolonged periods.

Not sure there is a need to double-cycle the glow plug for common rail engines. from the 2008 self study guide for the 2.0 L common rail TDI: For quick start with an ambient temperature of less than 64°F (18°C), a maximum voltage of 11.5 volts is present during preheating. This ensures that the glow plug heats up as quickly as possible
Location. MA. TDI. ex- 1996 wagon, ex-2000 Jetta. Jan 16, 2010. #2. Mr. Turbo, that battery doesn't sound correct and I doubt VW under-specs the cars sent to Oz. In NAmerica, we call the battery a 94R. You may be forced to visit your main dealer to get the correct battery with adequate performance.
